With spring just around the corner, I have felt an overwhelming urge to purge. We have accumulated so many things and half of it we'll probably never use. We recently got rid of a bookcase my husband had made to clear space in our office. We have a small desk that my husband uses but a second desk for me would come in handy. The bigger, the better. I'm thinking an L shaped desk perhaps, something that has a lot of useful storage to keep important things in their spot and yet hidden from view. I must admit, though, that I am a bit of a pack rat. I hate to throw things out and I want to eventually find a use for them. Because you never know. It's kind of the same with my kids' clothes. But how many bins of their old outfits do I really want to store in my crawl space, anyway? I figure, it's better to give most some of it away so that someone is actually making use of it.

When it comes to my kids' bedrooms, they're pretty small. My son's room is the smallest and we could barely squeeze in all the pieces of furniture once we converted the crib into a double bed. My daughter's room has already had a makeover and is painted a nice purple. My son's room, on the other hand, could use a fresh coat and some fun decor. I was browsing through CSNStores.com and found a couple of peel-and-stick Mickey Mouse wall decals that I know my kids would love. The giant Minnie and Mickey decals by Room Mates look pretty neat and I like that they are re-positionable and don't leave any residue. And at $21.99 a piece, it's a pretty affordable solution to cover up all the empty spaces. I just wish I had a knack for organization and interior decorating. Just saying.
