Disneynature's "African Cats" in Theatres Earth Day April 22
Sunday, April 17, 2011
This Earth Day, Disneynature brings you a True Life Adventure called African Cats. This epic true story is narrated by the talented Samuel L. Jackson and is set against the majestic backdrop of the Savanna. The story follows the lives of Mara the lion cub, Sita the fearless Cheetah, and Fang the leader of the pride, as they struggle to survive in one of the wildest places on Earth.
During the opening week, April 22-28, whenever you buy a ticket to see African Cats, Disneynature will donate $0.20 per ticket to the African Wildlife Foundation for the Amboseli Corridor project with a minimum of $100,000 pledged to this program. The project aims to protect the Amboseli Wildlife Corridor which is critical to the future of lions and other animals such as elephant, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and eland.
Tomorrow, I will be attending an advance screening of African Cats and, after watching the trailer, which I have included below, I'm really excited to see it. You can follow the buzz on Twitter using the hashtags #africancats #canada or visit their mobile friendly African Cats website for more information. You can also find Disneynature on Facebook and follow them on Twitter @DisneyPictures. My review will be posted after the release date.
