Diaper Cakes - Wordless Wednesday with Linky

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

For my sister-in-law's baby shower, I decided to make a diaper cake. Being pressed for time and having mistakenly bought a small pack of diapers, I kept it as a two-tier with a stuffed animal on top that I had bought at Hallmark. I used my Cricut to cut out the sentiment and made a small card to attach to the black and white gift back with pink bow that I also found at Hallmark. I had a larger one kind of like it from when Madeleine was a baby which I used for the larger gifts. I wish I had taken a better picture of the diaper cake.

Mine paled in comparison to the 6-tier diaper cake that someone else had made. Something to aspire towards, right?

  2. I really wish I had more time to get better at making them. I've seen different styles where, instead of rolling them, you kind of wrap one around the other. Hard to explain but I love how they look!

  9. Those diaper cakes are adorable. I've never found a cello-bag another that can fit a 6 tiered cake!
