CERALIP Lipid-Replenishing Lip Cream
Monday, March 05, 2012Many people in my profession will likely agree that supervision duty on blistery cold days like today are, well... slightly unpleasant. The below-freezing temperatures mixed with the wind chill factor dictated that students would remain indoors. But since I had bus duty first thing in the morning, I stayed outside to supervise eight busloads of students during drop-off. I was bundled up from head to toe but didn't have a scarf so my face was exposed to the elements of wind, cold and dry air. And my lips had something to say about that.
Dry, chapped lips are never fun but now I have a new lip care product in my purse that helps combat the effects of harsh Canadian winters - CERALIP Lipid Replenishing Lip Cream by La Roche Posay. It boasts lipid-replenishing power that helps to reconstitute dry lips and restore skin comfort. Like many of the lip balms I use, it is paraben-free as well as fragrance-free but what makes this lip cream different is that it can be used after medical treatments.
Curative, preventive efficacy on 61 patients undergoing retinoic treatment (preventing cheilitis at the start of treatment in 100% of patients; improvement in cheilitis in 90% of patients in the week after the start of treatment). For review, I was sent a 15 mL tube of CERALIP. The tip is slanted and makes it easy to apply. The cream itself is pleasant and glides on smoothly. After a while, my lips still felt moist as opposed to sticky. More than that, it helped to soothe my lips which has been the biggest benefit. And a little goes a long way.
CERALIP is available at Shoppers Drugmart for $13.50.
La Roche Posay is the N°1 dermatologist recommended brand in Canada and they have a large line of skin care products. Have you heard of EFFACLAR K? It's for adult acne, imperfections and breakouts. Don't tell anyone but... I think I need to get me a tube of the stuff. Or maybe two.

ReplyDeleteI think you should, too, Tammi. I'm seriously considering trying out the Effaclar K.
