My First WE Day Experience
Wednesday, November 09, 2016
The most heartwarming story for me was about the crazy fire in Alberta. Everyone worked together to help those who were caught in the radius of the fire. When you help out others you achieve success in other ways. It makes you a better person. The firefighter, Chief Darby Allen, was brought to tears when kids from Fort McMurray came on to the stage to honour him with a trip thanks to West Jet.
I encourage and challenge everyone to find time, make time to give back. I challenge everyone to BE KIND!
WE Day was amazing and life changing!
BE THE CHANGE!
I AM WE!

Oh wow, what great speakers!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an inspirational day - good for you for wanting to volunteer and give back!
ReplyDeleteSound like a great day but the fire was not close to Calgary it's Edmonton who housed most of the families and made lists to find pets and get supplies, it's way closer to Ft Mac and most of the workers live in Edmonton on time off! Calgary is another 3 hours south of Edmonton and 8 hours south of Calgary is Ft Mac.
ReplyDeleteSorry and my apologies. This is an article written by my 12 year old son. It should have said in Alberta!
