Monday, July 19, 2010
What do you get when you mix peanut butter, bears and a bunch of feel-good hugs? A whole lot o' lovin' and a tonne of donations to the Daily Bread Food Bank. As part of their new goal of donating a total of 60 000 jars of peanut butter, Kraft will be at Ontario Place with the aim of sharing hugs and donating up to 20 000 jars towards their goal. Here is some more information on the Toronto event:
Doesn't it just make all gooey inside knowing you can easily help the less fortunate with a mere hug?
Kraft has partnered with the Daily Bread Food Bank for an event on July 24th at Ontario Place. The Kraft Peanut Butter Bears ‘Smoothie’ and ‘Crunchy’ will be on site sharing free hugs to everyone who visits. For every hug that ‘Smoothie’ and ‘Crunchy’ receive, Kraft will donate one 500g jar of peanut butter to the Daily Bread Food Bank in an effort to help relieve hunger within the city.Anyone who can’t make it out in person can still support the cause by visiting http://www.spreadthefeeling.ca/ to send a virtual hug. Kraft hopes to generate enough hugs to donate up to 20,000 500g jars of Kraft Peanut Butter to Daily Bread Food Bank. To date, Kraft has donated 28,218 jars of Kraft Peanut Butter and hope to donate up to 20,000 more on July 24th.
