Buzz Away Extreme Natural Insect Repellent Review with Giveaway
Monday, August 02, 2010This contest is now closed.
We are midway through summer and our family is enjoying it as much as possible. One of the deterrents of spending a lot of time outdoors, however, is the dreaded mosquitoes. I am the type of person who always gets bitten but not just once. I get bitten multiple times in one sitting and they swell up almost instantly, it seems. I was out gardening a couple of days ago and got bitten twice on my hand and twice on my foot. It was the first set of bites of the summer and it was enough to remind me that I should pull out my new stash of Buzz Away Extreme Natural Insect Repellent.
For this review, I was sent a 120 mL bottle of Buzz Away spray, a 25-count of towelettes in a pop-up dispenser and a box of 12 individual towelettes. My favourite would have to be the towelettes because you don't have to worry about it backfiring, let's say, if you should choose to apply the spray on a windy day. Simply remove a towelette from the dispenser, wipe it on your skin and you're good for at least 3.5 hours. With children, you'll want to avoid applying it on their hands, of course. The dispenser is handy for a last minute application before heading out to the back yard. I love having the individual towelettes on hand, too, since they are perfect for travel. Look, they fit so neatly in my new purse!
Buzz Away is one of many natural products by Quantum Health. Founded in 1981, Quantum made a commitment to provide natural products that improve quality of life, are made under strict quality control standards and are based on scientific and published research. Other outdoor protection products by Quantum include Itch Nix and Sting Soothe, and their Buzz Away brand has now become the leading natural repellent in natural product stores and the second most purchased natural brand in America. It is definitely a favourite in our house. It smells nice, applies easily and it sure is nice knowing it's safe for my kids. It has worked for us, so far. Now if it could only help my daughter conquer her fear of bees...
You can purchase Buzz Away products online from BuzzAwayExtreme.com. The 120 mL spray bottle is listed at $9.99 but is available through their site for $8.99 as well as their 25-count pop-up dispenser. You can also search using their store locator to find a store near. You can also print their online coupon to save $1.50 on Buzz Away Extreme. Or you can win some right here on Toronto Teacher Mom.
One reader of Toronto Teacher Mom will receive a 120 mL spray bottle of Buzz Away Extreme along with their towelettes pop-up dispenser, 25-count.

My son plays rep ball and there seem to be a lot of bugs at the night games so we could definitely use some Buzz Away Extreme.

My favorite outdoor activity is just going for long walks with my little guy. We also enjoy sitting by the lake and watching the ducks swim. That's where the bug spray would come in handy!

I love to garden and I usually have to stop short because of bugs...so I'd use the bug repellent in the garden and at my parents' cottage.

My son LOVES to play in the sandbox in our backyard, but he gets eaten by the mosquitos! I have looked at other 'kid friendly' products and they scare me when I read the ingredients and the instructions to only use a small amout ONCE/DAY - yikes! why? I haven't used any products on him yet because of this but I need something! I need this product!

For me, gardening would be a major time to use this. I got eaten alive yesterday. Little Boo and I love to be outside, so really anywhere we go - playground, his sandbox, the beach, would all be places we'd use this
