Central Counties - Camp Spooky, Vaughn, ON

Saturday, October 30, 2010

There are only two days left to enjoy Camp Spooky with Snoopy and the gang at Canada's Wonderland. That's right, the rides are open! I got to take my kids there two weeks ago and was surprised to see that everything was up and running. I always thought they closed up shop after the summer was over. So I was so happy to be able to go on a tonne of fun rides with my kids thanks to CentralCounties.ca. My daughter's friend and his mother joined us and we sure lucked out with the gorgeous weather we had. We also got there really early, so if you plan on going tomorrow, I highly recommended being there when it opens at 10:00am. It doesn't close until 5:00pm so you can easily fit in a lot of rides and activities including:
  • Children's Costume Parade
  • Haunted Hay Bale Barn
  • Pumpkin Patch Maze
  • Trick or Treat Show
  • Vampire Maze
  • Vampire Treasure Hunt
We started off on the swan ride and worked our way to as many of the rides we could cram in before lunch, which was a lot. Being there early and having to wait in very short lineups made it that much more enjoyable. It was also fun seeing all the costumes and some of the Peanuts characters such as Snoopy and Lucy. Tickets can be purchased for as little as $19.99 if you take advantage of the 2010 Regular Single Day E-Ticket 4-Pack (Web Special Only). If you have older kids, they might prefer the Halloween Haunt which takes place from 7pm to midnight. (Insert spooky sound effects here.) I would definitely take the kids again next year.

For your viewing pleasure, I have included a slideshow of photos taken during our visit.

And by the way, if you are thinking of visiting a farm this weekend, Downey's Farms is still open!

Disclosure: CentralCounties.ca sent me 4 tickets to Camp Spooky in order to facilitate this review. The views expressed are my own honest opinions.

  1. wow, I didn't know about this! i will have to remember for when my kids are a couple years older. I saw an ad for the scary evening event there, but I didn't know they had the days for kids.
