With the Academy Awards now over, I feel the urge to watch movies all day long. It's not that I want to avoid the household chores that keep piling up. Not at all. But there is something about escaping from your everyday life and living vicariously through the characters in a movie, all the while diving into a bowl of popcorn, that makes it's so appealing to sprawl out on the couch and take a break from the mundane. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the fact that there were a number of fantastic movies and actors up for awards this year. I had only seen a few of the films such as Black Swan, Alice in Wonderland and Toy Story 3. Recently, I rented 127 Hours and Burlesque (just to be able to see more of Eric Dane *swoon*). But wouldn't it be great to have an Internet subscription to a service that streams movies right to your computer for a low monthly fee? I have a Netflix account and use it mostly for the kids' shows. There isn't a lot (yet) in the way of recent releases here in Canada but I know it's different in the U.S. The selection seems way better. I'm not complaining because I'd probably end up spending all my free time watching movies instead of sharing great opportunities such as this one with you, my loving fans. (Please, no pictures.)
