We are about to head over to my mother-in-law's for Thanksgiving and I was in the middle of brushing my hair when, to my dismay, I noticed a silver hair. Not quite white, not quite grey. But silver. As in bright and shiny. And hard to miss. Eeeek!

It wasn't long before I isolated that single strand of alien pilus and yanked it out of existence.

Take that, you gnarly thing!

Sigh.

Alas, this wasn't the first. Nor will it be the last. Rest assured I have no qualms with getting old or exhibiting the signs of old age. But shiny silver hairs can be hazardous. They can be distracting should I   glance at myself in the mirror while in a vehicle. Or they could unintentionally send off an SOS signal.

You never know.
