Baby Shower Cakes - Wordless Wednesday (linky)
Tuesday, February 07, 2012Recently, our staff held a little Baby Shower luncheon for a staff who is expecting her first in a few weeks time. One of our talented educational assistants prepared some yummy baked goods, including a really big baby bottle made of cupcakes. It was really neat!
Another E.A. asked me to help her create a diaper cake as her contribution. We kept it simple and used streamers in place of ribbon. She had rolled all the diapers at home and it literally took us about 10 minutes to throw together. I have another baby shower coming up. Guess what I'll be making...
Here's your Wordless Wednesday link up for the week:

That is indeed a long time. I love baby showers!
DeleteNICE JOB!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wish I had the patience to bake. The lady at work who made these is very talented. I just helped to make the diaper cake. :)
DeleteLOVE the cupcakes with the ribbon across them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that such a brilliant idea? It seems so simple to put together.
Deleteperfect!! what a nice staff too.
ReplyDeleteWe have a great staff, indeed!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I wish I had thought of it.

ReplyDeleteHow awesome does this look!
ReplyDeleteRight? I hadn't seen a baby bottle arrangement like that before. Pretty unique.
DeleteWhat a great idea for a cake. (cupcakes) Love the diaper cake too. I don't think I have ever been to one, except my own.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding? They're like a dime a dozen here. LOL And yes, that 'cake' turning out neat!
DeleteThat baby bottle is adorable. So smart!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely creative!
DeleteHow fun!!! I held the games and made cookies for my cousin's this last summer. She didn't know if she was having a boy or girl. I made blue and pink heart cookies with the boy and girl symbols drawn on them. They seemed to be a big hit!
ReplyDeleteI love your decor! So much fun!!!
Mmm, cookies! And thanks! But I had not part in the decor. That was the work of a third EA. I'm telling ya, our school lucked out in that department.
DeleteThose cupcakes look amazing. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteDon't they? I almost felt bad taking one. But of course, someone had to try one to make sure they weren't poisonous or anything...
DeleteHave a great week and thanks for hosting. Those sweets look incredible.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Meryl!
DeletePretty cupcakes, but its funny how when some is expecting most people automatically think bottle and not boob for feeding! :) :)
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to point out that very valid and interesting observation. I never thought of that! Funny how we default to the baby bottle as a motif for baby showers.
DeleteLOL! Next time I organize a baby shower, I am going to string boobs everywhere! hehe It is a pretty that she made it with cupcakes! I am so not that crafty. :)
DeleteYou just made me crave cakes for lunch! Yumm-o!
