Blue Mountain Timber Challenge High Ropes - Wordless Wednesday
Tuesday, July 24, 2012
Today I attempted a high ropes course for the very first time. Ever.
I'm up at Blue Mountain with the family enjoying a much needed family getaway and couldn't resist taking the Timber Challenge. If you take a ride on the Ridge Coaster, you will zip right through the course dozens and dozens of feet above you. There are three levels: green, blue and black. I managed to finish all three green courses and one of the blue courses before calling it quits. It took me two hours in total and I was famished and parched. But definitely proud of myself for getting so far. There were some really intimidating spots but I had fun on the zipline. I will definitely being trying the Timber Challenge again in the future. What a thrill!

Oh wow! You are definitely braver than I would be :-) Looks like a real great time though!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty intimidating at various points but it was on my bucket list and I feel so happy that I attempted as much as I did. Next time I come back, I'm going to attempt the other blue course and maybe... maybe a black!
DeleteI did the low rope course at Blue Mountain and thought it was extreme. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteI took one look at the black course and felt that was way too extreme. I have never done anything like this before. And now, the next morning, my arms are SORE! Never hugged so many trees in my life!
DeleteYou can have the thrill. I'm a wimp who likes to keep her feet on the ground.

Nothing wimpy about staying grounded. I asked myself many times: "What the heck am I doing up here?"
DeleteWell done! It does look quite challenging :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. It certainly was a challenge but I'm so glad I gave it a try.
DeleteLooks like a blast!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was quite an experience being so high up in the trees. I also had a great view of the Georgian Bay.

ReplyDeleteLOL! I always dreamed I'd grow up and be Wonder Woman. My name is Diana, after all...
DeleteI can just imagine standing at the top of that and looking down...
ReplyDeleteCongrats but not sure I could do that. Major fear of heights!
