Holiday Gift Guide: Recordable and Interactive Gifts From Hallmark (Giveaway)
Thursday, December 06, 2012
This year at Hallmark Canada, they have expanded their line of recordable gifts to help families press pause and record special messages for loved ones. From recordable cards and picture frames to recordable storybooks and iPad apps, there are so many ways to personalize your Christmas wishes. One of my favourite Hallmark gift ideas is Jingle the Husky Pup with Storybook. As you or your child reads the story, Jingle will respond to select sentences as indicated in red font. And now, you can include Jingle's Magic Christmas Recordable Storybook which also works with Jingle the Interactive Story Buddy (2012 buddies or newer). You can also purchase a Jingle All the Way DVD for $9.95 for more interactive fun.
Bell Interactive Story Book Gift Set - $34.95 |
Girls will love Bell the Interactive Story Buddy for more than just her cuddly cuteness. She jingles and interacts as you read, just like Jingle. My daughter received Bell's Big Move gift book set which includes a storybook, plush and read-along CD. This year, you also have access to digital story time online and free iPad apps. The app is a brilliant idea not only because it's free but also because you can record your own voice and play games as well.
The Dancing Lights 2012 Holiday Frame (pictured above) is another neat gift idea from Hallmark. You can press the button to watch a 3-minute dancing lights show or hold it for four seconds to enjoy a 1-hour show. You can even connect it to a coordinating AC power adapter to save on batteries (requires 3 AAA batteries). My favourite is still, hands down, the Wireless Children's Angel Choir. My teaching partner and my sister have already purchased a couple for themselves because I raved about them so much. We have bought a few to give to our administrative assistants for Christmas. They're that cute!
Finally, we can't leave out Hallmark's Until We Hug Again, Recordable Plush Bunny. The pink bunny pictured above has a green heart nose and floppy ears, making it an irresistible hugging companion. With 30 seconds of recording time, you can record and replay messages over and over again. And if you know someone who would love a soft pink recordable bunny this Christmas, Hallmark has offered to send one to a lucky Toronto Teacher Mom reader. Enter using the Rafflecopter form below. Open to Canada only, please.
