Milton Fall Fair and Demolition Derby
Tuesday, October 14, 2014
Last month, my sister suggested the kids and I meet up with her and my nephew at the Milton Fall Fair. If you didn't already know, my son is unbelievably obsessed with cars and had to sit inside every car he saw when we checked out the new Nissan lineup at the Canadian International Auto Show this year. It was an easy choice to take my son to the fair to check out some old classics as well as a demolition derby for the first time. Personally, I could have lived without the demolition. It seemed so... pointless!
Why, if it isn't Nemo and Pikachu! |
Number 818 drove a good while with his tire like this! |
Check out the flames! |

Pikachu and Nemo? Too funny! Just as long as that blue mustang didn't get demolished, it's all good.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that and the plush Nemo stuffies. They saved those, too!
DeleteThat looks like a fun fair - muddy but fun. Thanks for stopping by.

I loved checking out the classic cars but I probably could have passed on the demolition derby. Seemed so unnecessary, know what I mean?
DeleteThe fact that 818 could still drive amazes me. The tires are horizontal! How far did it actually go?
ReplyDeleteIt went on forever like that. AND the horizontal tire kept spinning, which totally baffled me!
DeleteGreat set of images. I don't believe that I have ever attended a demolition derby. I gotta go add that to the "bucket list". Love the classics and street rods.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad I could cross that one off my list. I have no desire to see anymore needless demolition but I am definitely eager to check out more classic cars and street rods!
Deletewow! nice to see all these cars
ReplyDeleteIt was like a virtual time warp!
DeleteGreat cars and GREAT pics of them!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary!
DeleteHow fun! Love classic cars! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! It's like traveling back in time.
DeleteWhoa awesome event! Thanks for sharing! Those cars are sweet =) #ww
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how well-maintained they were given how old they were.
DeleteI loved going to these fairs with my dad! :) Great pics.
ReplyDeleteWe never went as kids so I kind of felt like a kid while I was there. :)

Thank you, my dear!
DeleteOh seriously!! My husband once took part in a smash up derby. It was a hoot! He took our old rusty car and smashed it to bits in New hamburg at their fall fair. I totally supported that because the car was a piece of rusty junk.
ReplyDeleteHe did not! That's crazy!
DeleteLove the car pictures! The derby looks fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy!
DeleteProtect the Pokemon, lolol!
ReplyDeleteLOL And Nemo! Poor Nemo!
DeleteThat is so cool. I would love to go to one. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy guys would have loved that! They go to mud runs and truck pulls and races...not my bag, but they love it!

Yeah, my son loves that kind of stuff. Me? Not so much. It's too loud!
DeleteThe cars (not demolished) are so cool!
ReplyDeleteThe classics are definitely cool!
DeleteCool cars! I live in a town named Milton, but its claim to fame is the Dogfish Head Beer Brewery.
ReplyDeleteLOL The dog, fish and head had me a little worried there for a second...
DeleteI like the 3rd car down. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt kind of reminds me of the Dukes of Hazard.
DeletePika Pika!! LOL that's great. I'll have to show my son tomorrow.
