Rogers Cup Semi-Finals Match With Emirates Airline Don McWilliam
Earlier this morning, I was greeted at the door by an Emirates Chauffeur and whisked away to the Aviva Centre for a VIP Rogers Cup experience. As a platinum sponsor for the event, Emirates Airline was so kind to extend an invitation to join Emirates Country Manager for Canada Don McWilliam for a semi-finals game. We enjoyed premium service in an air-conditioned and beautifully appointed lounge overlooking centre court.

As if the view wasn't enough, we indulged in delicious food and drinks thanks to top-notch catering. Emirates Airline attendants were also on hand taking drink orders and making sure our bowls of nuts and sweet potato chips were always full. They even delivered Häagen-Dazs to our seats so we could watch the game without interruption.

Once the game began, the crowd greeted 28-year-old Sara Errani of Italy. She is currently ranked world no. 19 in singles and world no. 29 in doubles.

Her opponent Simona Halep stepped onto the court while the crowds exploded with excitement. The 23-year-old is currently ranked world no. 3.

Halep had a clear advantage over Errani given the huge crowd of supporters in her corner. But Errani didn't give up without a fight. Both players gave it their all despite the heat and unwavering sunshine, entertaining the audience with some incredible rallying. Congratulations to Halep who advances to the finals to face 18-year-old Belinda Bencic of Switzerland.

While I await the final Rogers Cup match tomorrow, I'll be researching Emirates flights from Toronto to Dubai. Apparently, the toughest decision you'll make all flight is: Do you choose a refreshing shower after take-off or a quick touch-up before you land?

Sounds like you must have had a great day and I'm curious, did your favorite win. I bet flights on that airline are really expensive.
