Kellogg's Breakfasts for Better Days Blogger Challenge - Day 3
Thursday, September 03, 2015
It has been three days since I have had breakfast but it feels like an eternity. Why am I doing this? It's part of the Kellogg's Breakfasts for Better Days blogger challenge but ultimately it's because I believe in the importance of this initiative. According to Breakfast Club of Canada President and Founder Daniel Germain, “There is a direct
link between missing breakfast and a lost education. Investments in computers
and books are wasted if a student can’t hear the teacher over his or her
growling stomach. Breakfast programs, like those supported by Kellogg Canada,
can make a big difference as evidenced by the Kellogg’s survey which found that
97 per cent of teachers working in a school with a Breakfast Club recognize the
programs as having a positive impact.”
If I ever once questioned how missing even just one breakfast could have a negative impact on my day, I can at least say I now know first-hand. Here is my most recent video journal after Day 3 without breakfast:
Stay tuned tomorrow for Day 4 in the Kellogg's Breakfasts for Better Days challenge.
Disclosure: I am participating in the Kellogg’s Breakfasts for Better Days campaign. Though I have been compensated as part of this campaign, all opinions remain my own.

Aww, you sound so sad. I can just imagine how hard that would be for a kid.
ReplyDeleteVery important initiative. I can only imagine how hard it is for students to go to school hungry:( (Judy Cowan)
