Fête des Pères Printable Greeting Card
Thursday, June 16, 2016
Last night, I was tinkering around with Google Docs and decided to give the drawing feature a good, honest try. I often use Microsoft Word to create my blackline masters since it has so many amazing features but, given that I wanted to make a simple Father's Day card, it was the perfect excuse to play with Google Docs. Using word art, callouts, shapes and lines, I designed a simple cover. For the sentiment, I began with a text box and added a couple of callouts, a circle and word art. To create the shadow effect, I simply copied the images, filled them in, and sent them backwards. Overall, I think it turned out quite nicely, non?
If you'd like to print a copy, I have embedded a pdf version. Just be sure that, when using the double-sided print feature, you select "flip on short edge." If your printer doesn't have that option, then print them out single-sided and photocopy accordingly. Not sure how to print the embedded pdf file above? Click on the square icon with the arrow located at the top right. If you hover over it, it will say "pop out." Once you click on it, a new tab will open in your browser and the printer icon should appear at the top of your screen.
Joyeuse fête des Pères!
